“A play of platters” with Claire&clay
This workshop is the second of Claire’s workshops for 2018, with her first workshop filling up very quickly. A reflection from Claire’s ‘Handbuilding’ workshop from February can be found on our blog.
Overview for #2:
Come and make (with your bare hands) a plate, a platter and/or some small jewellery dishes for your home. You will have a play with texture, adding to your pieces by pressing doilies, hessian or flora into the clay. Feel free to bring along your own doilies and/or heavily textured fabric. Leaves and other plant bits will be available to forage from the fresh selection at Asdaisydoes.
Add some colour to the imprint you have made with underglaze and have your piece clear glazed, and/or choose from 4 solid glaze colours to finish your pieces.
Claire will take your products home for a final firing for you to then collect from Asdaisydoes in under a months time!
